mythbuntu-common requires nvidia-common but it is not installable on ppc

Binary package hint: mythbuntu-common

The package mythbuntu-common is available in the ppc port archive but requires nvidia-common which is is not available on powerpc. Using Ubuntu 9.04 PPC with kernel 2.6.28-6-powerpc64-smp on a PS3.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and make Ubuntu better. However this is not a mythbuntu bug, reassigning to nvidia-common.

Is it though? Nvidia drivers don't work on non x86. So mythbuntu
common should really just have depends on x86 I think.

Is it possible that in Version 0.40-1ubuntu0 (karmic) the nvidia-common is nessasary again?
Apt-get tells e its not possible to install mythbuntu-common because nvidia-common is not installable.

on your ppc box?

The package is build for "all" architectures.
So there is no difference between the ppc or i386 package

Is there another package-reposity that can be used?

Is the fix you mentioned available via apt-get or would i have to download it manually?

Also, Version 0.42 still requires "nvidia-common" (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/powerpc/mythbuntu-common/0.42-0ubuntu1)
