Debian has a new version to be merged.

gdcm (2.0.12-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Update to gdcm 2.0.12. Closes: #534694
  * Fix Build-Depends so that csc is found. Closes: #535567

gdcm (2.0.12-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Skipping 2.0.11 packaging as it does not provides anything more than 2.0.12
  * Adding libvtkgdcm-cil, libgdcm-java and libvtkgdcm-java which provides,
    namely the CLI binding to VTK/GDCM, the Java binding to gdcm and the Java
    binding to VTK/GDCM.
  * New cmd line tools: gdcmanon, gdcmpdf and gdcmgendir
  * Adding man pages for all tools
  * Transition of Mono 2.0. Closes: #534297
  * Adding a special patch for the Eclipse Java Compiler 0.894_R34x as it does
    not support covariant return type.

Bhavani, next time, please, keep in contact with the maintainer shown in MoM, and in particular note that I wrote my name in comments.
( I saw your request for gecode too... fortunately I didn't started to work on it, but anyway I'd like to be noticed )

Actually I'm in contact with the Debian maintainer, and I was working on it: we don't need to do our work twice.... i've already enough busy time. ;)

Anyway: does it builds? could you please attach a build log?

Again: please let the right maintainer know that you're doing work on a package: not just me, and please wait for an answer.

Please let's start using "ubuntu-devel-discuss" instead of "ubuntu-motu" in the Maintainer field, as specified in:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField

Take the latest ubuntu-dev-tools from trunk to have an up-to-date update-maintainer.

  * Remove non-existant patche descriptions from debian/patches/series
?
The debdiff doesn't have any change to series, apart adding ubuntu-gcc4.4-ftbfs ...

- I corrected the Maintainer: field
- I removed that strange line in debian/changelog
- tried to build with 2.0.12-3

now it's all ok, uploading...
