KDE4 Taskbar shows unusual icon for updates

I don't know if this is a problem of the update-manager-kde or of the plasma KDE4 taskbar:

The icon for updates is unreadable.

I do this: typing on a console "sudo apt-get update"

When there are news packages available an icon should appear. - But it does not look normal (See attachment).

Looks like a drawing issue which most likely is related to your graphics driver.

Is the issue reproducible? If so, what graphics hardware and driver are you using?

Yes, it is reproducable.

My Hardware: Acer Aspire 2930

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2,00 GHz (Penryn, Sockel P, 1066 MHz FSB, 3 MB Cache)
Graphics: Intel GMA X4500 HD (533 MHz, 64MB Shared-Memory)

So it maybe might also be related to the general problems with Intel under the current Ubuntu?

I do have other problems with update-notifier-kde, too: It's often hanging and eating up to 40% of my CPU!!

(I do not even need it because I update everything by hand...)

In 10.04, update-notifier-kde's replacement doesn't use systray icons. This was most likely a driver issue, but I'll close it since in 10.04 it won't be possible to encounter this issue with the update notifier.
