Bug Description

Binary package hint: parted

The parted-dmraid patch that Luke did a while back was accepted by Debian and then dropped in version 1.8.8.git.2009.05.23-1. I don't recall why this was, so am filing this bug to remind myself to investigate this with the Debian maintainers.

This bug was fixed in the package parted - 1.8.8.git.2009.06.03-1ubuntu3

---------------
parted (1.8.8.git.2009.06.03-1ubuntu3) karmic; urgency=low

  * dmraid.dpatch: Restored (LP: #392246). Ensures that device-mapper
    devices for dmraid arrays do not have extra nodes created needlessly, as
    well as making sure that partition nodes for dmraid devices are not
    probed.
