installer: LVM: confusing LVs with VGs

Bug Description

The LVM module inside the partition manager detects correctly that there's already an VG set up. But instead of telling me it found 1 VG with 5 LVs, it's telling me to have found 5 VGs.

The exact text (in german) is:

=== Begin ===
Es wurden 5 vorhandene Volume-Gruppen gefunden. Bitte geben Sie an, welche Sie aktivieren möchten.

Vorhandene Volume-Gruppen aktivieren?
=== End ===

I'm not sure whether this is only a translation problem, but AFAIR the english text was wrong, too, during the Kubuntu 5.10 installation.

It's mostly cosmetical (though it can confuse some users), so setting severity to minor.

Thanks for your report. I don't believe this was only a translation problem. However, the code in question was in lvmcfg, and as of 6.10 or so we don't use that any more - it's all been integrated into partman-lvm. I'm fairly sure that partman-lvm doesn't suffer from the same problem.

This is sort of half-way between "Won't Fix" and "Fix Released", but I've opted for the former as lvmcfg is technically still in the archive for some reason - I just don't expect we'll be making any significant changes to it.

Changed in lvmcfg (Ubuntu):
status: Confirmed → Won't Fix
