i think so, i still have the problem.

the problem is that i am unable to get into Ubuntu 9.10 running on Gnome. it starts up till i see the desktop being formed, it blinks, turns black and returns to the login screen. running now xcfe to be able to use my laptop.

i can try using the fail safe monitor option (not sure if that works) after i have started up and send another bug report. will this work? ubuntu-bug -p gdm is the correct one?
