Please read the changelog and the relevant lines of debian/control to see who usually takes care about this package and where this is done. Now think about it: is it useful to do such work in Ubuntu at this point of the release cycle without even contacting me? It is just time waste for everyone. The package will be updated in Debian and synced from there. If you really want to help on this package, do it in Debian. Thanks.
