Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-themes

Ubuntu Version:

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

possibly relevant:
using nvidia closed-source driver
using compiz

package version:
gnome-themes:
  Installed: 2.26.0-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.26.0-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 2.26.0-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

when the mouse is hovered over the window controls, they are supposed to turn black. however, about 50% of the time they dont. sounds trivial but it is highly detractive from an otherwise excellent theme. those with sharp eyes will see that i have customised the theme by using icons from another theme, but this bug manifests itself with the the unaltered theme as well. the problem is with all three of the controls, not just the close control. i will upload a screenshot to illustrate.

may i also add my second favourite is the "glossy" theme and i am totally amazed it was considered ugly and removed to an extra package that has to be installed. again the sharp eyed will see that the scoll-bars i am using are from that theme.

i suspect it may be because of compiz.

in fact, i just switched to metacity and it doesnt happen. however, only this theme suffers from it, and i couldnt say whether the bug is in gnome-themes-ubuntu or in compiz.
