Bug Description

Firefox does not show up a window, but on WINDOWS, it does.

Here is how to reproduce it:

1. Launch firefox and go to finance.yahoo.com
2. Enter any stock symbol, say, intc, then click. It takes you to intc's summary window.
On the upper right corner, there is a chart. Under that chart, click '1y'.
3. choose interactive chart (if you don't have an interactive chart, it would shows a
non-interactive chart, with a link ("try interactive chart"). If so, click that link.
4. On the top of chart, there are many choices, try to click COMPARE, there is nothing showing up,
which is wrong. You also see javascript: void(0) on the buttom of the firefox window.

On Windows, it also shows javascript: void(0), but it also shows up a window after clicking "COMPARE".

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. I cannot confirm this issue. Could you please try in safe mode to see if you still have the issue?
firefox -safe-mode
Safe mode disables all add-ons.

I tried it using %firefox -safe-mode, and the problem still exists.

Thanks

Thank you, could you please try a new profile and let us know if that solves the problem? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. Thanks!

are you sure you properly restarted firefox? to be sure log out at least or reboot.

I tried your instructions and it works in firefox trunk as well as firefox 3.0.11 build2 from the ubuntu archive.

I tried both and the both has the same the problem.

What I tried:

1) Reboot and login; then launch a terminal; and type
    firefox -safe-mode

then it shows a window with several choices (if I want to permanently changes
   settings, choice them.). I did not choose any and continue;

Go to finance.yahoo.com; then type 'intc'; on the upper right
corner, there is
a chart, click '1y'; then it shows an interactive chart. Click
"COMPARE", but
   nothing shows up.

2) In a terminal
    firefox -profileManger

it pops a window, and I created another profile and started firefox. Then I
repeat the above and I got the same result.

So, I still have the problem.

Thanks

I never install adblock plus.

Anyway, when I click "COMPARE", there is the following error message in
"Error Console" (Tools -->Error Console")

Error: YFC.leftpanelhash[c].competitors[x] is undefined

Does this tell anything ?
