Cannot import pictures from Kodak B836

Bug Description

Ok i've been trying to get Kodak M863 loaded and working on my PC it has a 4GB SansDisc Card. camera mounts just fine, however when i open the folder there is only one file with a really cryptic file name on it so it fails to export propperly. attached is a debug log from gphoto

same result with cards over 2GB

gphoto is not doing anything exotic in ptp (just very basic protocol). it seems the camera does not want this file to be got from the camera.

workaround:
gphoto2 -f /store_00010001/DCIM -P

Ok, tried that, it got the file off but, the file itself is some sort of a
cluster f....
After re-fortmating the card it works for a while and the problem re-appers.
seems to be happening after about 1GB of pictures. so my guess that this is
a camera problem. however the camera itself opens the file just fine. Just
an FIY if fails with Kodak's own softwear in a VirtualalBox with USB pass
through. SO must be the camera. Not sure how to close this bug.
