Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Hi
attaching screenshot
[ I have this bug since a long time on three different machines now, but I wondered whether I had weird or even corrupted settings since I war running development releases. I just got it again on this new install, so I'm finally reporting it: ]
the workspace switcher applet at the bottom right doesn't scale properly to fit the panel vertically. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but on affected systems it usually comes up like this consistently.
My layout is 12 workspaces on 3 rows.
I'm using compiz most of the time, but I'm using metacity from time to time.
Today, I realized the problem appeared just after I configured metacity to use this 12 workspace layout (it seems that compiz and metacity have two different sets of gconf settings for that). Compiz was set to 12 workspaces, but didn't start due to the wrapper disabling it after an intel driver bug, so metacity started with its default of 2 workspaces.
Since the compiz workspace switcher are patched in the Ubuntu packaging, I'm not reporting this upstream yet.
Thanks,
This bug was fixed in the package gnome-panel - 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu8

this is the correct thing to do in this code (as this option is hidden
from the prefs dialog anyway), this probably means Wnck also has a bug
with this option and Compiz; LP: #385220.
