Bug Description

Binary package hint: rabbitmq-server

The rabbitmq-server package in Karmic depends on the erlang-nox dummy package, which brings in a lot of packages that it doesn't need to run.

I put together a package with reduced dependencies in my PPA here:
    https://launchpad.net/~jamesh/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/643902/+listing-archive-extra

The mnesia and os_mon dependencies are the only ones listed in the .app file that exist outside of erlang-base so I am pretty sure this change is correct. Things seem to be working okay in my local testing too.

I made a few small changes:
 - base the update on the current 1.5.5-2 in karmic
 - udpate the maintainer field according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField

rabbitmq-server (1.5.5-2ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * debian/control: Reduce Erlang dependencies to just erlang-mnesia and
    erlang-os-mon. (LP: #384762)
