multi-selection does not work when holding shift-key down

Not sure this should be counted as a bug or feature request. If I hold the shift key down, and use the -> (right arrow) to select multiple characters, only the last one gets selected, which is not the case for most other OS X editors like TexShop, TextExit, etc. I found it very inconvenient: I had to use the mouse to achieve multi-character selection.

I can confirm. Shift left(right) arrow selection gets only the last character. Used both 1.8 from repo and the latest 1.9.1 version.

I have to turn back to my last post. Now I think "shift arrows" is not a bug proper of Ubuntu, beacuse that unusual behaviour also affects the Windows version of Texmaker.

Confirmed on Windows Texmaker 1.9.1.

Texmaker has been a great ally for many years, but this small bug is making editing a huge challenge for me. Thanks to the authors for their hard work, and thanks in advance for please fixing this quickly.
