type "qbittorrent" in a term and please give me the output.

It is very unlikely that v1.3.3 brings new bugs, it is merely a bugfix release and there are really few changes.

Also, what package did you use? Are you installing qBittorrent from Jaunty repositories ?

Well, you can remove the hydr0g3n repository from your sources.list since you're using jaunty. This will correct the invalid key problem.

Regarding the following error:
qbittorrent: error while loading shared libraries: libtorrent-rasterbar.so.2: cannot open shared

Could you make sure libtorrent-rasterbar is actually installed?
sudo apt-get install libtorrent-rasterbar

package changed name apparently.

This confirms that mixing hydr0g3n repository with Ubuntu Jaunty repository is a bad idea. libtorrent packages have different names in other repositories.

1. Remove hydr0g3n repository from /etc/apt/sources.list
2. sudo apt-get update
3. sudo apt-get --purge remove libtorrent-rasterbar
3. sudo apt-get --purge remove libtorrent-rasterbar2
4. sudo apt-get install libtorrent-rasterbar2

Everything should be fine after that.

Chris Sir,
Now v1.3.1 is gone and 1.3.3.1 is not at all opening. The reason is not
understood before at least v1.3.1 was working fine.
Pl do the needful to resolve the issue.
Thanks
Rajinder

I don't think you understand, there is no issue. And the problem is not caused by qBittorrent v1.3.3.

Your system packages are simply not clean. As I explained before, please do the following and you'll be ok:
1. Remove hydr0g3n repository from /etc/apt/sources.list
2. sudo apt-get update
3. sudo apt-get --purge remove libtorrent-rasterbar
4. sudo apt-get --purge remove libtorrent-rasterbar2
5. sudo apt-get install libtorrent-rasterbar2

What version of libtorrent-rasterbar do you have installed?

Another user reported problems with v0.14.3.
I'm using v0.14.2 myself.

A new version is available somewhere (I don't know from which repository yet, backports maybe?) and it appears to be faulty.

Could you please tell me which repository it comes from? (right click in synaptic > properties > Versions tab"

Try "package > force version..." in synaptic to go back to previous libtorrent-rasterbar package in the meantime.

Faulty repository is :
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/deluge-team/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main #Deluge
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/deluge-team/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main #Deluge

It provides a more recent version of libtorrent-rasterbar2 (v0.14.3) but it does not provide rebuilt packages of qbittorrent against this new library (obviously, since it is a competitor :)

If you want deluge and qbittorrent to co-exist, then please use deluge (and thus, libtorrent-rasterbar2) from official ubuntu repository.
