when I hit play, seq24 always starts from the beginning of song (not left marker)

Bug Description

When I start playback while using Jack Transport, seq24 always starts playing from the beginning of the song, and not from the left marker.
Once playback hits the right marker (when in loop mode), the markers are respected.
I'm running Ubuntu Studio based on Ubuntu Hardy, and I observed this bug both on my 32 and 64 bit machines.

I'm not sure if I understand, but I think you mean if you open the song editor and select looping play, it starts from your left marker - instead of playing through the song :and then: looping from the left marker. right? If so, I noticed the same thing and I found that I just needed to make sure seq24 was set to 'song mode' in the options.

No, when I activate loop mode, and press play, I somehow expect seq24 to start playing
from the left marker. But this is not the case. I starts playing the song from the start
(because whenever you press stop, you go back to the start of the song), and once the
right marker is reached, it loops back to the left marker.
This is very annoying, because using loop mode with the left marker, seems to be the
only way to start playback from a different position in the song.
Right now I have to use an external program (e.g. ardour) to change the song position
pointer in the song, and start playback from that position.
