Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

Hi. When I first type my PGP passphrase to sign a message (I'm not sure if this happens when I type it incorrectly or if it does it all the time), and then send the message with a PGP/MIME signature, the message is munged in some way.

One possible cause is I noticed in one message right after I typed my passphrase, it sent a message with a MIME part of:

--------------enigD6959F3FE292C69283C1F792
(message text)

Then, when I replied to the same exact message with the passphrase cached, it sent the message with a MIME part of:

--------------enigB2AA7D646DC3A19F7EAD98A7
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

In that case, it seemed to forget to add the headers to the MIME part.

Other odd issues I've observed after just typing my passphrase and sending a message are:

* Thunderbird (on ubuntu 8.04) and Entourage (on a mac) both chop off the first paragraph of my message

* Thunderbird (on ubuntu 8.04) and Entourage (on a mac) both fail to recognize a MIME part as a file attachment and instead render the base64-encoded data to the screen

I'm using the following:

ii mozilla-thunderbird 2.0.0.21+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 Transition package for mozilla-thunderbird r
ii mozilla-thunderbird-enigmail 2:0.95.0-0ubuntu5 Transitional package for enigmail
ii thunderbird 2.0.0.21+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 mail/news client with RSS and integrated spa

I'm not sure.  I haven't used Enigmail in years.
