cannot print any file other than .odt documents

Cannot print any file from any PDF or image viewer. Only open office prints documents. Printing instructions cause evince, xpdf, gthumb and gimp crash. Thanks on any help. This is a report from system-config-printer 0.7.81:

sudo aa-complain cupsd

Do you have the same problem?

I've runned sudo aa-complain cupsd. Although consuming "tons" of CPU usage, deskjet now prints. Thank you very much, and I'm sorry to have bothered you on something that simple; I just didn't know that command actually existed.
