hello Uday, so INBOX+ works for me too, but a file named assistant+authorization03_09.pdf still leads to the error.  best, E

Eli, I set this bug report to confirmed last month, but now, it seems to work ok with the latest revision in the 8.1.x branch. I used the exact file name that you mentioned. Maybe this was a bug in Windows that got fixed. If the error is still present, please let me know.

Cheers,
Uday

I can still see a problem there, here is the traceback. what other information can I provide? this is using the bzr version as of now... I wonder if it is (again...) because of one of the rfaddons I am using. there is the one that allows me to attach several files from a given directory using regexp. are you using this? let me know if I should try to remember what that option was and eliminate it. Hi Uday, this problem occurs for me now only when I use the attach-save-files feature from rfaddons:
(require 'vm-rfaddons)(vm-rfaddons-infect-vm 0.1 '(attach-save-files open-line))
hope this helps, best, E

The doc string for vm-mime-attach-files-in-directory says that the
second argument is a regexp. So, the + is getting interpreted as a
regular expression operator. It should have still found a match. But
I leave it to you figure it out from here on.

thanks...  I looked a bit at what + means as a regexp, and perhaps it shouldn't even find a match in this case.  filenames with ? also don't work as is, but I agree that this is not a bug given that this should be a regexp.  One can always just use \+ or \?.  So all is well, and I should have understood this myself.   I guess this is an advanced feature, and users should know what they are doing.  It's very a helpful one in any case.  cheers, E
