Trash fail and freeze then delete more than 15000 files

Bug Description

The Trash fail and freeze then delete more than 15000 files. I have a use popup command empty trash in the applet and don't delete the files in my trash and the dialog freeze for a long time and not close it and i have a logout for close the dialog. When the open folder trash and select the files for delete and press the key "Supr" the trash work fine and delete this files and not freeze the dialog -work fine-.

My operating system is: Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10
Kernel 2.6.27.11-generic
Gnome: 2.24.1
Cpu: Intel celeron 2.26 Ghz
Memory: 470.5 MB
File system: Ext3

The bug i was reported, it's fault in my computer (wire of hard disk).
I'm sorry...
