Bug Description

Ubuntu 8.10 / usability bug

Software sources should have a dialog to import Authentication keys from clipboard.

Rationale:

Today. Most keys are shared as copy-paste snippets on web pages (example: https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA#Adding%20a%20PPA%20to%20your%20Ubuntu%20repositories). The user needs to go through the extra steps to copy text, create a text file, paste in text and locate this text file as a root user on his/her harddrive to be able to a new key. This is very difficult.

Thanks for your bugreport.

I added drag-n-drop and a right-click menu for paste now to the authentication tab. This will be part of the next (karmic) upload.
