I confirm the same error. My suspend to RAM seems to work, but I get the error message as above. Any solution to this:
An unknown error occured while Suspend to RAM. The errorcode is: '1'

????????????????

Thanks for your help.

Mmm, same thing here. Curiously enough, I get the same error. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 with the standard GNOME desktop, but GNOME's built-in power manager has a bug reporting the percentage of the battery. =P

Mine's also an AMD cpu, ATI graphics card (so I'm also using fglrx) but I'm using kernel 2.6.28-11-generic x86 (not x86-64). Anybody else having the same issue also on an AMD system with an ATI graphics card? I don't think it's an issue in the kernel.

I went for the GNOME built in power manager. You can also add a CPU monitor to the panel to adjust from powersave to power on demand, etc. I think it's better in the end than the k-powersave. Lighter imprint.

I have the same problem, in debian squeeze with kernel. 2.6.30, also amd64. But i have no problem with the keyboard, only the message "An unknown error occurred while Suspender en RAM. The errorcode is: '1'". I have it some month(s) ago, but it seems not very important.

I'm getting it too under Karmic beta right now. Identical to what flgalera wrote in comment #5.

I'm running this on a Thinkpad X61.

carneeki@socrates:~$ uname -a
Linux socrates 2.6.31-12-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 7 19:37:12 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Same problem here. Dell Latitude E5500 (Intel Dual Core, VGA Intel), Kubuntu Karmic 64bits, kernel 2.6.31-6-candela.

But the system suspends and recovers almost smoothly; sometimes I have some difficulty to use the mouse on recovery. In these cases, I close the laptop lid again and reopen it, and it works again.

Bad News. Dell inspiron 1525 with Debian squeeze (updated) amd64.
Now i see the message "An unknown error occurred while Suspender en RAM. The errorcode is: '1'", but it does not suspend in any way.

KPowersave has been removed from distribution in both Ubuntu and Debian since:
- The package no longer builds, leaving us with no way to provide further updates
- Its author(s) no longer update KPowersave
- Its functionality is largely replaced in KDE4 by PowerDevil.

Unfortunately this means we will not be able to provide further bugfixes or updates to this package. Thanks for understanding.
