Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

Ibex 8.10

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type 't' is not known on line 43 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

Also the gedit would not allow changing the permission

Sounds to me like an error in your sources.list file. Could you upload your file /etc/apt/sources.list here? Thanks.

Just replace your /etc/apt/sources.list file with the attached file - should fix everything. For some reason, you seemed to have lost part of a commented out line leaving "t is" and apt didn't know how to handle that.

This isn't fix released because we haven't changed anything in the current trunk, it's also not a documentation issue so I'm setting it to invalid - I'm glad your problem is fixed.

Per bug instructions, marking against the update-manager package, but I don't even think this is a bug. It was just an error with with user's sources.list file.
