Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

since I tried to install packages GHC and Cabal from the current version (there was some kind of error, but I am unable to reproduce it), I get this error everytime I have something running (flash or smt that's CPU difficult) and try to search through the packages in kpackagekit.

The backend took too much time to process the synchronous request - you need to fork! Although the error came up the updates seem to have installed ok.

Don't use package kit; use the command sudo aptitude full-upgrade in
terminal. This workaround is posted somewhere on the forum, though it took
a while for me to find it and this is how I've been updating my system;
works just fine for me.
