Bug Description

Hi guys,

taking beep-media-player from the back of the desktop, by clicking on its part of the window-selector, it only shows its playlist. Equalizer and player are hidden until I quit beep-media-player and start it again.
But after it's in the background again, I'm not able to show the whole thing again.

beep-media-player version 0.9.7.1+cvs200509

I confirm this, this happens in Ubuntu Dapper, with version: 0.9.7.1+cvs20050803-1ubuntu2

Yes, still happens in Dapper.

I can also confirm this in Dapper. Funnily enough, I didn't seem to have this issue in Breezy.

Allegedly this is fixed in the 0.14.4 release. See here:

.. although I guess that's the new version of bmp (bmpx), not to be confused with this product (as I evidently just did).

I do not seem to be getting this issue anymore.

I am still using version 0.9.7.1+cvs20050803-1ubuntu2, so could it be that some other package updates fixed the problem?

I take back what I said on my last comment.

Unfortunately the bug is still there on my system. It can easily be reproduced.

Maybe it has got something to do with the default skin? This doesn't
happen on my dads computer but he is using another skin on BMP.

It's a sad bug this one because it's the only player (easily
installed) that most people accepts.

Confirmed for the non-source version with an alternative skin. Version 0.9.7.1+cvs20050803-1ubuntu2.

Close the playlist editor and it gives you the original window again.

Can anyone reproduce this bug using audacious (in Feisty)? audacious is basically the successor to beep - see bug 66322.

This is probably the same issue as bug 75663 describes.

Hi,
I'm closing this bug report because the beep-media-player package has been
removed from the archive.
BMP is now deprecated in favour of Audacious or BMPx (both are packaged and
available in the universe repository: audacious and bmpx).

Thanks,
