Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I recently upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04 which loaded Fire Fox 3.0.9. When attempting to access Pandora, I no longer get sound. However, CD, and other non-web applications are working fine.

Ubuntu 9.04 - the Jaunty Jackalope - released in April 2009.

This was an upgrade from LTS 8.04 thru 8.10 to get to 9.0.4. During the 8.10 release none of the sounds work. Once upgraded to 9.0.4 all sound testing worked, except Firefox. Hardware is a DELL GX110 with 500meg memory, everything else is standard DELL, except the monitor.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: firefox-3.0 3.0.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1

 PATH=(custom, no user)
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-6-386 i686

I have the same problem with pandora running through firefox or in the adobe air application. In KDE, I also have no sound for anything except the rebooting sound and the sound card test. If I boot up in gnome, my other sounds work except for pandora as you describe.

Ubuntu 9.04 and no sound from Pandora.
Also I can figure out how to get digit
sound out to my home theater.
Digital sound out worked with Kubuntu but not with Ubuntu.
Any ideas anybody?

I don't know what gimp app is, but yes it happens at the website.

Also, is there a way to get digital output from the sound card to turn on.

Only the analog sound seems to work from my sound card.

I had it working with Kubuntu, but it wont work with Ubuntu.

You seem to be referring to the pandora website for creating custom radio stations. I think pandora uses flash, so the choice of package was incorrect. Marking invalid as to the pandora package in ubuntu.

So do I need to disable the plugin and load flash?
