Bug Description

The printer starts printing roughly 2 cm or 1 inch above the paper, resulting in text being lost.

While the printer will not install automatically, it can be installed using the procedure below:

1) $ sudo apt-get install hplip-gui

2) Remove the printer via http://localhost:631 or (xubuntu settings->printing)

3) Install the printer with
"$ hp-setup

4) Run the HPLIP toolbox in Admin or Settings menu

5) Go to the actions tab for your printer and "Download Firmware"

Problem solved! (kind of)

Changing paper size in OpenOffice, through printer configuration or through the web interface does NOT work. However, manually editing /etc/papersize to replace "letter" with "A4" solves the problem!
