Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

When I keep Tab pressed or use the left and right arrows in the Shift Switcher:

The X server crashes and restarts, and I get back to the login screen. For a quarter of a second when X restarts, I can see the last desktop with the applications on the screen. But all my session is lost.

It happens only with this effect: everything ok with the cube, even if keeping the arrow pressed and making turning the cube for dozens of seconds.

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.
