Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 RC but the same thing happens since Hardy Heron. In my laptop when I press Fn + F5 or F6 to increase or decrease volume, even with a light touch, it acts like I holded it pressed, the volume turns down, no matter what I do, and then the pc stop answering to the keyboard. And it keeps like this until I restart X or press ctrl+alt+f2 and then f7. I have no idea on where is the problem, but when I used KDE it didnt happen. I posted it in various foruns, but no answer, some people reported the same problem, but no sollution.

This is a duplicate of bug nr. #288134 (and several others). Once I get home, I will take some time to hunt down the duplications for this bug.

I was wondering this bug to be corrected in the next release of Ubuntu 9.04.

Unfortunately it is not corrected in Jaunty. This problem occures since Intrepid. It was okay before that, though.

Is there a way to avoid this to happen? I had this problems since Hardy Heron, when I started using Ubuntu.

I had this problem since Intrepid!
A fix was released for Dell Laptops, but I'm using a Fujitsu Pa1510

I also use a Pa1510. Nevertheless, this bug is present in quite a few laptop models.
