This is the error that gives me totem:

"Totem could not play this media (Digital Television) although a plugin is present to handle it.

You might want to check that a disc is present in the drive and that it is correctly configured."

thanks for the report, could you run totem as : GST_DEBUG=3 totem &> totem-debug.txt perform the operation and attach the resulting log to the report? that'd might be a gstreamer issue.

the issue seems to be an upstream one and should be sent to bugzilla.gnome.org to the software writers by somebody having the bug

If you have installed mythtv, you may need to stop the backend first.

sudo /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend stop

Then try Totem again. That worked for me, at least.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of totem is available in both Lucid and Maverick and we are wondering if this is still reproducible in any of those versions, May you please test and give us of feedback about it? Thanks in advance.
