I was selecting the bibles for the parrallel view in preferences when it locked up then crashed.

I am running Jaunty.

Gnomesword is no longer developed. It has been renamed into Xiphos see xiphos.org

Crosswire packaging team is working on updating Sword, Xiphos, Bibletime and Bibledit in Debian and Karmic. You can try our packages from the PPA https://edge.launchpad.net/~pkgcrosswire/+archive/ppa

We have Hardy - Jaunty there.

Please check if the problem persist with Xiphos from the ppa.

Awesome, Xiphos is better. Hopefully Ubuntu add it to their repositories.

Xiphos has made it into the Karmic archive. This issue is fixed now.
