Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

I want to record a disk image (.iso) to a DVD disk. I press the button "Burn image" and choose an image file. The button for choosing a disk is inactive and has a message - No avaivable disk. Disk was inserted before and there is an item "Blank disk DVD+R" in nautilus. If I write a CD disk, it works well. I have tried this in ubuntu 8.10 and ubuntu studio 8.10 too.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/brasero
NonfreeKernelModules: ath_hal
Package: brasero 0.9.1-0ubuntu3~intrepid1
ProcAttrCurrent: unconfined
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin
 LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: brasero
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-10-generic i686

I just installed Karmic beta 3,
although the icon of the blank CD/DVD appears on my desktop, Brasero doesn't find any recordable media trying to burn an .iso file.
Reading data cd's in nautilus works fine.

Brasero doesn't read the blank disc for copy, so "opciones de grabado" isn't active for record. Excuseme for my "english".
