Binary package hint: openoffice.org

This bug causes a display of bad entries or fonts of the menus or menus with visual effects turned on medium or extra or even compiz enabled.

I'am using Ubuntu 8.10 with open office.org 2.4

Hi Mr Chris,
I'am using nvidia-graphics-drivers-96 and the problem is still in my
computer so sometimes I return to the first level in visual effects to be
able to see the wors and letters in the menu in openoffice.org,thankx for
your intrest in my bug I hope oneday it will be fixed in this Ubuntu or in
Jaunty.

Duplicate of bug 294076. Have you tried changing the render accel settings in you xorg.conf? This simple change (documented in 294076) seems to be working for several other users.

 After disabling the drives for my video card, the menu bar back to normal.
