Wavesurfer dont start in jaunty

Binary package hint: wavesurfer

Since my first Jaunty attempt (alpha 3 if im not wrong) wavesurfer dont work. Ive made a dist-upgrade yesterday, and it still refuse to start. The error:

with the released Jaunty (up to date), the error I get looks like this:

As a workaround, you can use the binary release from KTH, which even works with 64-bit ubuntu when you install linux32.

Well, Jaunty is EOLed and I doubt it still exists. This package in Ubuntu12.04 works, so changed status.
If you have more information for it, please add.
