Bug Description

We don't produce 64 bit Mixxx packages. This is a shame.

I have an Opteron AMD64 system running Windows XP 64-bit and Debian AMD64 and would be happy to provide packages for this architecture and these OSs as long as someone points me to how to build what you need to make end-user packages.

Of course I completely forgot that Debian already makes 64-bit Mixxx packages available in their repos. http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=mixxx&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all

However, I now have an Opteron-optimized build of Mixxx for Windows (on minGW) if you'd like to check it out. (Need somewhere to upload it first.)

Eh...ignore that link. I got fooled. That's just an Opteron-optimized 32-bit build.

In order for us to be able to make 64-bit packages, the deps in mixxx-winlib need to be recompiled as 64-bit as well. See the connected blueprint which suggests replacing the binaries with source and building them as part of the Mixxx build process in Windows.

I don't feel like I know enough to do that. Hopefully Garth or Adam can take a look at that soon.

I think Nick was mostly talking about 64-bit Ubuntu packages.... ;)

Booyah, Win64 is in the hizzouse: http://mixxx.org/packages/windows/mixxx1.7branch-AMD64.exe

Assuming that tests well, I'll make a generic x64 build (which will also run on IA64, etc.)
