Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I am using Ubuntu to make this report for a bug in Windows XP with all the updates and current version of Firefox.

The menu item under Tools "Options" causes Firefox to crash and not respond. All other tabs and menu items work ok.
I have even re-imaged and still have the same problem. And I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail

Hope this finds a clue.

jc

Thank you for your contribution. If this is happening to you only in XP, you may want to report this to Mozilla instead. I was unable to duplicate this in XP, so I am not sure exactly what the problem might be. You might want to check out http://support.mozilla.com/ to see if this might be covered there before filing a bug. If you would like to report a bug to Mozilla, the link is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

Is this also happening in Ubuntu? If so, this might be a question instead of a bug. I was also unable to duplicate in Ubuntu.

 Thanks for the reply
Ubuntu works great in all respects.
I depend almost entirely on it for an OS.
Windows is just a crossword puzzle for the most part.

Ok, in that case, I recommend looking on the Firefox website to see if there is a fix. If not, you may need to file a report. You may even need to end up reinstalling firefox and seeing if that does anything. I will let you decide what will work best for you. In any case, this is not an Ubuntu-related bug, so I am marking this as invalid. You can always ask a question under the "Answers" tab if you would like, or you can convert this to a question. As this is technically an issue in Windows, my recommendation might be to search Google for an answer if the Mozilla website doesn't lead you anywhere. I am certain you are not the first person to have that problem in Windows. Let us know if we can further assist you.
