netbook-launcher not full screen on HP Mini Note 2133 (intrepid 8.10)

Hello, on my mininote HP 2133 with full installation, VIA binary driver from http://linux.via.com.tw/support/downloadFiles.action , netbook-launcher isn't behaving properly.
It does miss a huge portion on the bottom, and some link isn't showing on the top (it does miss the ubuntu logo too).
This is a quick screenshot that I produced some minutes ago with auto-hiding panel enabled, but I have already tested if it is a problem with theme, and the problem stay the same same even with the panel properly configured.
Latest updates, latest metacity and netbook-launcher version were already installed.
Launching from the shell it doesn't shot any error, all seems fine.

BTW, Netbook-launcher is (almost) properly working with the latest ubuntu 9.04 IMG image, it does show full screen but it is too slow to be used, it does miss smooth transactions, I think it's driver-related with 3d or 2d video drivers.

More news.
It does only happen whren I normally launch netbook-launcher.
I tested it windowed, even at smaller resolution, and it is indeed perfect.
But fullscreen, is a no no.

on my 2133 (binary VIA3D, no compiz 2G ram to eliminate not enough agp memory) when I have started without desktop, "button areas" are in almost correct places, but graphics....

Thanks for reporting this bug. Do you have any special xorg options like UXA enabled? I do not know much about the performance of the VIA driver and opengl...what's the frame rate of glxgears? Do any of the GL-based gnome-games run (glchess is one) ?

VIA = "performance"
but last lines from dmesg give some information about quality of driver

I am posting my logs / xorg.conf.
On my netbook, xorg.conf is heavily configured, since it does have some problem with starting ubuntu on vesa or openchrome modules.
