Using Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha 6

The Synaptic Welcome screen message always shows even when the checkbox is ticked to supress it.

Thank you for your bug report. On my system, the welcome "Quick Introduction" dialog has a checkbox marked "Show this dialog at startup." Note that it is by default unchecked, meaning that the next time that Synaptic launches it will not appear. If you continue to check this box, it will continue to appear. Just to confirm, could you try this behavior while leaving the checkbox *unchecked?* Thanks.

I did try leaving it unchecked, but the behaviour is the same in either
case, i.e. it always shows.

Bug definitely still exists -- Ubuntu 9.10 installed just today.

In lucid, the welcome screen is behaving as expected e.g doesn't popup on the next launch if left unchecked. Is anyone still able to reproduce it with the latest lucid build ?
