Bug Description

I have tried to install Ubuntu (and Kubuntu) Dapper Flight 2,3,4 in a Dell Inspiron 6000 (Laptop) (Pentium M 735, ATI Mobility Radeon M300 128MB) but after installing (and rebooting) it didn´t show me the gdm (kdm) login screen, actually it didn't show me anything!!! just a black screen, where a coludn't do anything. My keyboard didn't work-> no Ctrl +Alt +F1 nor Ctrl +Alt +Supr, just nothing! I think it could be a problem with the screen...because I connected my laptop to another screen (throughout VGA) and I was able to make an alphanumeric login (but no graphical login...)
I have install the same system in other computers and it works properly...
I have exactly de same problem when I make an "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" (or just upgrade) changing the sources (changing breezy for dapper) of my breeze...
So I think the problem should be a new package or librery related to screen or xserver used in new ubuntu (dapper), because muy laptop was 100% compatible with breezy!

Marking as a duplicate of 32368 since it really look like it is the same problem, with the same type of laptop.
