evolution does not have smtp port (587) for comcast

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When sending outgoing mail to comcast.net the port must be 597. There is no place in evolution to specify such, therefor the outgoing mail is not sent.

(sentinel72: This is also a problem when trying to use host.name.com:port#. Connection times out.)

you can use "server:number" to do that, not a bug

 This is not a bug. The solution was suggested as:
smtp.comcast.net:587

This works as suggested.
