This package is based off the debian package; the only change is to clean up after the incorrect soname issue I mentioned in comment #3.

After uploading, please sync rtorrent ASAP, as will soon be requested in LP#280494; uploading just one or the other will break rtorrent in karmic (also due to the previous incorrect soname issue)

Actually, hold off on this sync for a moment - the debian experimental packages have too weak versioned dependencies. I'll roll a fixed version in a moment.

Upon further analysis the current ubuntu version has a package name which does not match its soname (libtorrent11 contains /usr/lib/libtorrent.so.9.2.0). This means that it would satisfy rtorrent's libtorrent11 dependency without providing the correct soname. I will roll a patched version of rtorrent to give a safe upgrade path; I believe the debian/experimental version of libtorrent will work but should wait for the patched rtorrent.

We can't upload packages from a PPA. Please provide a debdiff between the version on Debian and the version you want to be uploaded, so we can review it. You can obtain one with this command : debdiff packagename_version-debianrevision.dsc packagename_version-newrevision.dsc > packagename_version-newrevision.debdiff
