Please sync 0.8.5 from debian unstable

Binary package hint: rtorrent

The rtorrent/libtorrent version in Ubuntu Intrepid have known bugs - can we please upgrade to 0.8.5 for the Karmic release?

0.8.4 packaging is available in debian's experimental branch; as detailed in the comments in bug #211910, debian's maintainer does not want to ship the development branch, and has apparently recently put it into the debian experimental repository.

As such, please sync from http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/r/rtorrent/rtorrent_0.8.4-2.dsc

Note that libtorrent must be synced first, and due to the tight relationship between these two packages these syncs should be done at the same time if possible. See bug #339408

Cancel this sync; I will need to roll a patched rtorrent package for ubuntu to deal with the fact that the current (in ubuntu now) libtorrent11 should have been named libtorrent9...

rtorrent 0.8.5 is an unstable release... Surely we should be using 0.8.4 unless there is a planned release for the stable version before the karmic freeze.

I can confirm that this now builds on Lucid. All dependencies are satisfied, and all Ubuntu changes have been incorporated upstream. ACKing sync request and subscribing archive-admins.

 0.8.6-1 is currently in Debian unstable. For Lucid, syncs are automatically done from Testing to ensure stability for the Long Term Support release. Once it hits Testing, it will be synced in. No bug report is required.
