I'm not sure whether this should be an error or not. It seems like it should to
me, but crashing like this obviously isn't ideal.

Thanks,

James

In my case I came across this problem because I didn't think bzr-notify was running as it wasn't visible in the notification area. Nor can I see how to make it visible in the notification area.

Ubuntu 9.04 (Beta), fully patched as of 09/04/09

Why is this marked as Triaged in Bazaar GTK+ Frontends? Isn't it a Bazaar GTK+ Frontends bug?

Present in Lucid alpha 3. Could libunique be a good solution to this problem?

Matthew, Triaged means it's been accepted as a bug and that an importance has been assigned.

When do you get this crash exactly? Are you starting bzr-notify manually?

Yes, please try it.

Traceback (most recent call last):

"A lan-notify process is already running")
bzrlib.errors.BzrError: A lan-notify process is already running

It shouldn't crash. An error message would be enough.
