Bug Description

Binary package hint: libqtgui4

I think now with Qt 4.5 if I install it on GNOME the theme using GTK+ as renderer should be used by default. At the moment i have to install qt4-config (aroudn 40 megabytes) to set this.

This would improve the look of the desktop a lot as the theme is now stable and fits perfectly into the GNOME desktop.

This would probably be something GNOME would have to do, since I can't think of any way to patch this with the Qt package without making GTK+ default for both DEs.

This is not a 'paper cut' because no qt applications are shipped with Ubuntu by default.

that's something to discuss on a mailing list like the ubuntu-desktop one, more over meta-gnome2 doesn't have any code to manage themes or nothing.
