Bug Description

1. select a text in application, with keyboard (in example in kate program, or whatever)
2. ctrl+C copy it
3. close application
4. paste the text...
5. nothing pasted! whoops. fail.

Perhaps in 2009 linux (gnome) should get all this modern fancy features like a working clipboard (by default, in gnome), in addition to basic stuff like 3d rotating desktops and blurring windows GFX.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I can confirm this with kate, but gedit for example does not have this problem.
Maybe this is a KDE issue.

greetings

Martin
