Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I can confirm this with kate, but gedit for example does not have this problem.
Maybe this is a KDE issue.

Nah, this is a Linux bug that has been present forever, regardless of desktop environment.
Applications like Klipper and Glipper were created to help make the bug less of a pain. |
