Bug Description
Binary package hint: kate
1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04
$ uname -a
Linux seattle 2.6.28-8-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Wed Feb 18 18:48:55 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
2) apt-cache policy kate
kate:
Installed: 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu3
Candidate: 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu3
Version table:
*** 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu3 0
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
3) What I expected to happen:
When I open a document in Kate, close Kate and re-open Kate, I expect to see that document in the File > "Open Recent" sub-menu.
4) What happened instead:
Open Kate and open some documents. Those documents now appear in the "Open recent" list. Close Kate, re-open Kate. The "Open recent" list is empty again.
I don't think this bug is equivalent to bug #41651.
In this bug, files that are open get into the "Open Recent" but just for that session. Once Kate is closed and re-opened, they aren't there anymore.
In bug #41651 a newly created file that is saved doesn't get in the "Open Recent" list even during the execution session in which it was created and saved.
But if it's common to mark as duplicate bugs that are similar or somewhat related, ok. Thank you.
