document viewer doesn't show marked lines in PDF files

Binary package hint: evince

in a hebrew PDF document based on text, some of the lines where marked using Adobe Acrobat pro 8,
when i open in in Document viewer, i can only see the yellow marking but can't see the text (until in mark the marked text and then the text is showen).
i'm using ubuntu 8.10 on a lenovo laptop with intel graphics card. document viewer 2.24.1.

confirmed, with evince 2.24.1-0ubuntu1, libpoppler 0.8.7-1ubuntu0.1
mind you, xpdf and acroread render the document correctly, it's only in evince that the yellow marking covers the text underneath...
