problem with firefox

whenever i open firefox (3.0.6 / canonical 1.0) ubuntu panel dissapears. i have to close firefox to do anything else.it started today

maybe firefox just starts in maximized mode and hides the panel?

try to disable desktop effects if you have them enabled. (Preferences -> Appearance)
