gsynaptics cannot enable scroll

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gsynaptics

Gsynaptics worked fine in Hardy. After switching over to Jaunty, I'm still able to enable/disable the touchpad and adjust the speed and tap to click settings in Gsynaptic. The scroll settings are completely useless, however. I can set circular scrolling and the changes update synclient but are not picked up by X.

seanzer@blayze:~$ synclient -l
Parameter settings:
...
    CircularScrolling = 1
    CircScrollDelta = 0.03
    CircScrollTrigger = 5

but when I go use xinput list-props:

seanzer@blayze:~$ xinput list-props 2
Device 'ALPS':
 Device Enabled (93): 1
...
 Synaptics Circular Scrolling (247): 0
 Synaptics Circular Scrolling Trigger (248): 0

This issue is most likely duplicate of bug #320632. Or definitely it is bug in the driver as synclient reports different things that xinput.

affects: gsynaptics (Ubuntu) → xfree86-driver-synaptics (Ubuntu)
affects: xfree86-driver-synaptics (Ubuntu) → xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu)
