Bug Description

Attempted to install proprietary package. Downloaded but install failed. Currently running in low-res Ubuntu, due to driver issues.

Sounds like a duplicate of Bug #250486

Have you tried:

sudo aptitude reinstall xserver-xorg-core
sudo aptitude reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx
sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-173

?

Thanks for the help. Finally got it working by uninstalling the official nvidia driver that was previously installed.

Sounds like a duplicate of Bug #250486

Have you tried:

sudo aptitude reinstall xserver-xorg-core
sudo aptitude reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx
sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-173
